Low Carb Food

What Are We All Eating?

The main idea behind this post is to give you a glimpse into some of my “low-carb” meals. Some of us may not know exactly what we’re eating, or what to expect when it comes to healthy foods, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less important. When I think about a low-carb meal, many things cross my mind. How much I eat and what makes me feel full. Is my stomach feeling bloated with gas, or does it make me nauseous? Asking these questions can help determine your best choice when it comes to how to approach this type of lifestyle for you. Your answer may have nothing to do with what you eat, but with what your body needs to function optimally. A balanced plan doesn’t always happen overnight, however. You need time, dedication, and consistent effort on your part. You can find lots of advice online on how to go from no carbs to consuming a lot of protein, and much of that advice has something to do with the idea of going low-carb and sticking your head in the sand and expecting instant results. That’s not really the kind of information anyone should hear.

The majority of people don’t want to hear promises from doctors not to gain weight due to their medical condition. Sure, some people like to hear that there will be health risks in the long run, but it’s just the opposite for most people. Unless those people actually have an actual problem, they will never be willing to put in the time, attention, and effort necessary to change their eating habits. So what is the alternative to staying on keto? At its core, low-carb food isn’t a quick fix. Instead, low-carb food is really the way to tackle your cravings and satisfy your hunger. If you know what you’re doing, then you can avoid all the negative feelings about low-carb food because there won’t be one.

What Makes Me Feel Full

It’s true; the more often we consume sugar and fat, the fewer calories we feel. One study found that people who ate a high proportion of fatty foods consumed more energy at every meal than those who ate a balance of both. This fact alone is enough to scare you away from some of the new fad diets out there that promise you rapid weight loss quickly. It means that if you’re trying to lose weight rapidly, look for other ways to fuel your body instead. For example, you could mix up your breakfast to include oats instead of pancakes. Or, try making oatmeal instead of cereal. Maybe eating too many foods that usually fill up your belly but aren’t good for you will get you started. Whatever works, try switching up your routine.

You’ll notice that none of your current cravings come back, even though you’re eating the same food and eating the same amounts of exercise. Remember, it’s hard to feel more energized just by adding another ingredient to your plate, and you want that extra energy, right? Here’s a thing that might surprise you. Many studies show that low-carb food is surprisingly effective at getting you to sleep. After having a sedentary day, people who ate low-carb diet sleep better. Not only are low-carb foods good for you when it comes to relaxing before bed, but they’re also great for boosting your memory power after the day.

Even if your memory seems weak from tiredness, a night of quality memories will boost your mood. When you wake up in the morning, it’s less likely that you’ll spend your entire day worrying about a missing bag or having to choose between two cafeterias. Studies find that these types of effects occur within hours after eating even small amounts of a low-carb meal. In general terms, the more you eat low-carb foods, the happier you will become and the less tired you will be the next day. A lower energy level is one of the biggest signs of poor nutrition—and that’s why we shouldn’t allow ourselves to be told how to live our lives without following simple common sense tips.

I’ll end with a few fun recipes for low-carb food. Take advantage of all the recipes here, and use them as inspiration for how to develop healthy eating habits in this busy world. Most importantly, keep an open mind about what you’re eating and try to stick with what you like. Everyone has different taste preferences, so maybe try some of these ideas and see which ones work the best for you. Good luck!
